Privacy
This page says what luishurtado.com collects when you visit, and what I do with it. I run this site myself. If you have a question about your data, write to me at me@luishurtado.com.
What the site collects
My web host records each request to the site in its server logs: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for and the time. The host keeps these logs to run and protect the service. I do not use them to identify you.
The contact form sends nothing by itself. It opens your own email app with your message filled in, and nothing leaves your device until you press send there. I keep the emails you send me so I can reply.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets no cookies today and runs no analytics.
I plan to add Google Analytics, to count visits and see which parts of the page people read. When I do, a banner will ask first, and the analytics will load only if you accept. You will be able to change your answer at any time, and this page will say what Google collects and for how long.
Settings saved in your browser
The site saves two settings in your browser's local storage: your choice of the light or dark theme, and whether you paused the animation at the top of the page. They stay on your device and are not sent to me. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
Other services
The fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for them and Google receives your IP address.
Videos from Vimeo and YouTube load only when you press play. The Vimeo player runs with its do-not-track setting on, and YouTube videos play from youtube-nocookie.com. Once a video plays, that service handles your data under its own privacy policy.
Links to other sites take you to those sites, and their own policies apply there.
What I do not do
I do not sell your data. I do not share it with advertisers or use it to build a profile of you.
Your choices
You can ask me for a copy of anything I hold about you, or ask me to delete it, by writing to me@luishurtado.com.
Changes
When this changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
