IMO his style is a grandiose &quot;F-you&quot; to the establishment and institutions that were still taking themes and ideas from Europe at the time. He is definitely one of, if not THE, top architect in the US... period. Kinda makes me sad that my apt building looks like a big cinderblock with stripes.</description>
